The salt version of the same column, with a narrow glass ring above the base so you can see what is left without opening it. Pale ash, knurled steel collar, flat top.

The burr is ceramic, not steel. That is not a styling choice: salt corrodes steel, and a steel burr in a salt mill will eventually bind and stain. It is the one real difference between this and the pepper mill, and it is why the two are not interchangeable.
