Black-stained ash, matte, with the glass level ring above the base and a knurled steel collar at the neck. The pair to the black pepper mill, and the only way to tell them apart across a room is the glass.

Ceramic burr, because salt corrodes steel. If you want both, buy both — we do not sell a boxed pair, because most people want two of one height rather than one of each.
